Patrol meetings

On Friday, July 28, the Atomic Rubber Duckies got together at Terrijann's house. We started the day by running, doing pushups and sit-ups for our fitness rank advancement. We talked about our call, yell, and flag. After that we played and had lunch. Then after lunch we learned about our patrol jobs. Last, we enjoyed playing with water in the pool and cleaned up.

FAQ

Does your troop have a special interest area? No, we strive to do a variety of activities which recognizes and accommodates the schedule of the Scouts and helps them to advance in their particular areas of interest.

What’s your style of troop operation? We establish a primarily annual calendar of activities at the beginning of each Scouting year. During the year scouts, under the coaching and guidance of the troop SPL and  ASPL, plan and carry out the activities. Scouts choose what patrols they want to be a part of.

Do you meet year around?

No. Regular Troop meetings are scheduled from August starting with troop elections through the end of May. The troop attends Camp Wilderness or extended Summer High Adventure or leadership programs. Planning meetings for the following calendar year take place in late August.

Do you accept new scouts?

Yes. We have scouts who join at the traditional spring time when Arrow of Lights Bridge.

Are there any special requirement you have for new Scouts?

All boys/girls who want to be Boy Scouts are welcome. We pay extra attention to those scouts who have little or no previous scout experience and have them jump in right with the other new Arrow of Lights in our first-year program called Fast Track to First Class.
